Cycling
~
simply the best cycling .... choose a route (there are 10 of them!) and make a day of it with one of our scrumptious boxed lunches
~ all our routes are loops with maps and precise instructions to bring you right back to the inn (and the heated pool)
~ these are the quietest of country roads here in the Rideau Lakes. Some of our routes will keep you on paved roads, other will take you off onto hard-packed dirt roads or tracks or abandoned rail lines
~ we provide bicycle lock-up facilities
~
Denaut Mansion Country Inn is featured as a cycle friendly accommodation on www.velohospitality.com and is an overnight stop on the Rideau Lakes Cycle Tour of www.bikeontours.on.ca, www.salemcyclery.ca and www.rideaulakescycling.ca

floating dock |
~ you can take one of our complimentary canoes anytime from our dock for a brillant paddle on Upper Beverly Lake. Discover the many tranquil bays and rocky islands of our lake - doubtless, the quietest of all the Rideau Lakes
~ Calgary Herald journalist Trent Edwards, in his September 2004 review of Denaut Mansion says "our highlight was borrowing one of the Peets' canoes at the end of the forest path to paddle the still waters of Upper Beverly Lake. We watched light dazzle off the pristine lake as we paddled past blooming yellow lilies to a forested island with a rocky shore. Just before returning to the dock, we saw an otter."
~ we are happy to reserve a canoe for you - they're for rent at the park on the Lower Lake in the village as well as at 2 Provincial Parks
